Over 220 Experts Gather for the I SENTIATECH Congress on Emerging Risks
Europe’s top event on emerging risks united researchers, innovators, and policymakers to advance safe and sustainable solutions.
Valencia, 21–22 October 2025. More than 220 experts from 15 countries came together in Valencia for the SENTIATECH Congress: Detection, Measurement and Control of Emerging Risks, Europe’s largest event dedicated to advancing technologies that safeguard human health and the environment.
The congress brought together leaders from science, technology, and industry to address the detection, measurement, and control of emerging risks. From microplastics and PFAS to food safety and sustainable chemical design under the EU’s Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) framework.
Over two days, participants exchanged knowledge through 99 scientific presentations and 28 posters, selected from more than 140 abstracts. Discussions focused on cutting-edge advances in sensing technologies, biotechnology, artificial intelligence, safe materials, and risk assessment — key areas for ensuring a safer and more sustainable future.
The Alchemissts project participated in the I SENTIATECH Congress, using this international platform to share its research, engage with experts, and showcase innovative approaches for detecting and managing emerging environmental and health risks. This event represents one of the project’s main dissemination activities, helping to raise awareness, foster collaborations, and strengthen Alchemists’ impact across Europe.
The event was supported by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, IVACE, and Valencia Innovation Capital, and sponsored by industry leaders such as Simetría Grupo, Eurofins Environment Testing Spain, Global Omnium, Laboratorios Tecnológicos de Levante, Captoplastic, ProtoQSAR, and Sensactive Technology.
By fostering collaboration between researchers, policymakers, and businesses, the I SENTIATECH Congress consolidates its role as a strategic meeting point for innovation and technological exchange in the management of emerging environmental and health risks.
