ANTHOS’26
Following on from ANTHOS’24 in March 2024, the second edition of this EU-funded-projects driven event ANTHOS’26 – Advanced (Nano)Materials and Technologies: From Needs to Solutions will take place from 9 March - 11 March 2026 in Vienna, Austria.
Objectives
ANTHOS’26 promotes the advancements in technological innovation & research results on Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design (SSbD) for advanced/innovative materials (AdMa). This conference serves as a platform for bringing together leading experts in SSbD and AdMa from projects funded at regional, national and/or European/international level and relevant initiatives/partnerships (e.g., NSC Community, INISS-nano, IAM4EU, IRISS SSbD community, ATIMA community).
Furthermore, representatives of key international stakeholder groups (European Commission, OECD, EFSA, ECHA, national ministries, industry…), as well as relevant associations and initiatives shall interact with the community. Together with all other engaged and collaborative projects, Alchemissts will also co-organise this impactful event!
Registration
In-Person: Seats for physical attendance are limited. Registration is currently open and will close immediately once the maximum venue capacity is reached.
Virtual Participation: For those unable to travel to Vienna, registration for virtual participation will open in January 2026.

Co-Creating Integrated Impact Assessment for SSbD: Demonstration of SUNRISE Integrated Impact Assessment Approach & Exchange with the RES-22 Sister Projects
SUNRISE is organising its second co-creation workshop, continuing the stakeholder engagement and methodological development process initiated during the first event in February 2025. The session focuses on testing and refining the Tier 1a of the Integrated Impact Assessment Approach (IIAA), a multi-tiered framework supporting Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) decision-making for advanced materials.
