EMPA host the SSbD25 conference, which will take place in Zürich, Switzerland on November 10-12, 2025.

The SSbD25 conference aims to provide a discussion forum for experts from various relevant fields and sectors who are already working or considering working with implementation of the Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design concept. This year's edition takes place on November 10-12, 2025 in Zurich, Switzerland at the Empa Akademie.

The Call for Abstracts has opened!

• Contributions from all fields of research, industry and policy are welcome!

• Send your abstract submission to ssbd-conference@ivl.se no later than the 30th of June (23:59 CEST).
  You will get feedback on your abstract by the 15th of August.

The registration to the conference will open in September. We are looking forward to seeing you in Zurich!
